The "fixed price" service they advertised at £85 quickly ballooned to over £200 because the engineer insisted on a "system power flush" that he claimed was mandatory for my warranty. When I checked with the manufacturer, they said it was completely unnecessary. It feels like they’ve moved away from honest repairs toward a high pressure sales model where the engineers are just glorified salesmen. I miss the days when they were a reliable local family firm; now they just feel like another greedy corporate chain.
